If clearing agency functions are performed by automated facilities or systems, attach a description of all backup systems or subsystems which are designed to prevent interruptions in the performance of any function as a result of technical or other malfunction. Include backups for input or output links to the system and precautions with respect to malfunctions in any areas external to the system

ABC, LLC (ABC) has multiple overlapping systems with built-in redundancy designed to prevent any interruption to ABC’s functions in the event of a malfunction. This includes the use of in-region and out-of-region data centers that replicate data between them. Each of these data centers has the capacity to process the entire production workload should the other data centers simultaneously malfunction.

Each input and output link to each system is supplemented with one or more backup links to enhance resiliency.

Detailed response plans are maintained as a precaution with respect to malfunctions in areas external to the system.
